Women's Athletics Director jobs in Hawaii
Women's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's women's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire women's coaching staff. Being a Women's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Women's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Women's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Punahou is actively recruiting lifeguards to join the Athletics Department. The lifeguard plays an essential role in ensuring the safety of all students and patrons utilizing the pool and its surrounding areas. The lifeguard inspects the aquatics facility, assists teacher with pool configuration, and recognizes and responds quickly and effectively to situations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a lifeguard, thorough knowledge of application or rescue and lifeguard techniques and an understand of facility rules, policies and procedures. Position Details:- Work Year: 12 Months
- School Year: 2023 - 2024
- Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, May include occasional nights and weekends depending on operational needs
- Hourly Rate: $17.00/Hour
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR/AED Certification by the American Red Cross.
- Prior experience as a lifeguard preferred.
- Thorough knowledge and application of rescue techniques.
- Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance.
- An understanding of facility rules, policies and procedures.
