Web Software Developer designs and develops software solutions for websites and mobile applications that engage users and meet business requirements. Supports web administrators and designers through the full development lifecycle and contributes to the development of new site features. Being a Web Software Developer develops, implements, and debugs software code. Designs and develops the web infrastructure including back-end database development and the construction of SQL queries via CGI scripting. Additionally, Web Software Developer requires knowledge of web technologies and tools such as CSS, JavaScript, HTML, PERL, PHP, Active Server Pages, SQL, and C++. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Web Software Developer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Requirements
- Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
- Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. C , Java, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems (e.g. AngularJS, Git)
- Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks (e.g. Hibernate)
- Ability to learn new languages and technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
- Attention to detail
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
