Web Applications Development Manager manages the design, development, and maintenance of internal and external websites for an organization. Oversees web applications developers to ensure that websites are built and expanded based on evolving technology and business needs. Requires knowledge of common web development languages (e.g., HTML, Java, PHP, JSP, ASP.NET, Python, AJAX.) Requires a bachelor's degree. The Web Applications Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Duties/Responsibilities- Evolve and enhance the Kyriba.com strategy designed to optimize site performance and drive inbound traffic, conversions, pipeline and revenue.
- Develop and maintain our organization’s websites according to the company’s needs, which includes Kyriba.com and its 5 multilingual subdirectories.
- Manage an in-house Sr. Web Developer and other freelance support team members.
- Encourage and facilitate consistent, creative, and unified web design across the organization’s web properties.
- Set up a strategy and cadence for collecting and analyzing web analytics and similar data; identify opportunities to improve search engine optimization (SEO), time on site, web traffic, and other relevant metrics.
- Take ownership of our technical SEO for increased rankings in search engines.
- Maintain and document ownership of the company's internet/marketing domains.
- Assist team members with the use of company websites through one-on-one support, user guides, and training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; software licenses; and applicable state, federal, and international laws and regulations including data security, privacy, and intellectual property laws.
- Responsible for both front-end and back-end development, including the implementation and maintenance of plugins.
- Management of the website back-end including our database integration.
- Management of our SFTP system for content management.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices and emerging developments in web design, web development, and technology.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Expert knowledge of WordPress website management, WPengine, and WP Multilingual.
- Working knowledge of Craft CMS website management or demonstrated ability to learn new CMS structures and setups
- Experience managing a hybrid team of in house team members and freelancers
- Experience working with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
- Experience working on multilingual / international websites.
- Advanced knowledge and development experience in PHP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and other programming languages.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Experience developing in a Pardot environment.
- Experience with AI programming.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or related field required; coursework in digital media, web design, and/or computer programming highly preferred.
