Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse/Driver to join our team. This position involves a combination of warehouse duties and driving responsibilities. The Warehouse/Driver will be responsible for shipping and receiving, inventory control, and operating heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory counts
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse
- Ensure proper storage and organization of products in the warehouse
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist with order fulfillment and packaging as needed
- Safely transport goods to designated locations using company vehicles
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures
- Mechanical knowledge for operating heavy equipment
- Proficiency in using computer systems such as AS400 for inventory management
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills for interacting with warehouse supervisors, colleagues, and customers
