Wafer Process Technician performs tests and experiments required for wafer processing. Sets up processing equipment and performs minor adjustments to equipment within guidelines. Being a Wafer Process Technician designs and executes test runs and disseminates results to facilitate engineering designs. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Wafer Process Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Wafer Process Technician works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. A Process Tech is responsible for the performance of the following duties in a safe and productive manner:
Job Duties (Not Limited To)- Completes regular preventive maintenance on the pad and plant solution distribution system
- Understands the process plant and pad operation
- Knowledge of pumps, pipes and solution flow systems
- Participates in training and implementation of knowledge and skills gained
- Operates equipment to construct or maintain pads, ponds, or ditches
- Unloads and stores supplies needed for plant and pad operation
- Works as a team member and communicates openly with others
- Assists in necessary maintenance data entry into CMMS system
- Follow all procedures and safety measures to assure safe production
- Work in all conditions and environments, approximately 95% of job is outdoors
- Able to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis
- Able to walk up and down slopes and uneven ground multiple times a day
- Able to bend and stoop multiple times a day
- Work as a team member and communicate openly with others
- Self-directed and able to take leadership role on many projects
- Willing to stop work for safety concerns and always abide by safety best practices, policies and procedures
- Respirator use is required
- Work with Chemicals
- 5-5-4 Schedule
- Valid vehicle driver’s license
