Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time, experienced Fabrication Operator to join our high-performance team and be a part of our journey to shape the future of the Greater Washington DC area data center community by delivering resilient and sustainable solutions that make a difference.
This individual will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production of metal and plastic parts. This role involves setting up equipment, ensuring product quality, adhering to safety protocols, and performing routine maintenance. The operator works closely with the production team to meet manufacturing standards and improve processes. Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read technical drawings are essential. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying shifts.
Key Responsibilities
As the Fabrication Operator at ESI Total Fuel Management, your key responsibilities will be:
- MACHINE OPERATION: Set up and operate fabrication machinery, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, presses, and other tools to cut, shape, and form metal or plastic parts.
- QUALITY CONTROL: Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- MAINTENANCE: Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition. Report any malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team.
KEY TEAM JOB TASKS
- Operate fabrication machinery including, but not limited to press brake, CNC plasma, ironworker, band saw, MIG welder.
- Coordinate with Engineering department on set-up of press brake, CNC plasma.
- Interpret and follow design schematics and fabrication instructions.
- Perform visual inspections, calibrations, and quality checks to ensure products are in conformance with ESI quality standards and design specifications.
- Coordinate with Fabrication Supervisor on production needs and adhere to production schedule.
- Abide by safety guidelines and regulations, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE), ISO standards, OSHA standards.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Servant Leadership in developing and building a high-performance service team.
- Working experience with mechanical, controls, electrical systems, testing and environmental compliance.
Education And Expereince Required
- High School diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery.
- Specialized CNC certification preferred.
- Experience with MG, TIG welding preferred.
