Being a Video Editor archives and stores all files, footage, graphics, and audio. Encodes final videos to desired size and format. In addition, Video Editor proficient using Adobe Creative suite and production software including After Effects and Final Cut and other editing software. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Video Editor gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Responsibilities:
• Plan, produce, write, and edit municipal programming and special events
• Coordinate pre-production planning and post-production activities
• Maintain and manage audio/visual, recording, and production equipment
• Act as a videographer, photographer, and content specialist during emergencies and other major events
• Identify opportunities for contract agreements
• Design and produce graphic materials for city events, news, and programs
• Handle filming and editing of all videos and photography for our social media platforms
Requirements:
Proficiency in MAC Software Final Cut Pro X or equivalent software, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Office Suite. Drone 107 License is a plus!
