Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Video Editor gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Skratch, a Pro Shop company, is seeking an experienced video editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in editing both long-form content and, more critically, short-form assets in a vertical aspect ratio. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud products, including After Effects and Photoshop, is essential. As a golf-focused company, Skratch emphasizes authentic storytelling targeted at younger audiences and produces engaging, short-form satirical content.Key Responsibilities:- Edit and create long and short form vertical editorial and sales videos from concept to completion for use on Skratch social platforms.
- Travel to tournaments and off-course shoots to create content as needed.
- Collaborate with other content creators, participating in regular brainstorms and pitch sessions.
- Adhere to Skratch brand standards, strategic initiatives, and established voice across platforms.
- Utilize available data and analytics to make or adjust programming and content decisions.
- Work some non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree required; Journalism, Media, or Communications preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Self-starter with enthusiasm for innovative ideas and thinking outside the box.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure in a team environment.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work that meets brand and fan standards.
- Prior experience updating and maintaining a brand or professional social media account.
- Strong understanding of the current digital and social media landscape, including creating content for Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms, best practices, success metrics, and emerging platforms.
- Design, photo, and video editing skills are a must.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Photoshop, Premier).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing priorities.
