Vendor Quality Control Analyst jobs in Idaho

Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Position Overview:

    As a Construction Quality Manager at CQM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our construction projects. You will work closely with general contractors and regulatory agencies, particularly the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), to uphold the highest standards of construction quality control.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC)

    procedures for construction projects.

    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to establish quality standards

    and specifications.

    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor compliance with project plans, specifications,

    and regulatory requirements.

    • Identify and resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner, implementing corrective actions

    as necessary.

    • Coordinate with the FHWA and other regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to federal

    guidelines and standards.

    • Prepare and maintain documentation related to quality assurance activities, including reports,

    records, and non-conformance reports.

    Qualifications:

    Below are typical requirements found in specifications of projects that encompass what a quality control manager is.

    (a) One year of experience managing Quality Control on highway construction projects, and (b) One of the following:

    (1) Two years’ experience as a construction project manager or superintendent on highway construction projects;

    (2) Three years’ experience as a project engineer, resident engineer, foreman, construction inspector, or equivalent on highway construction projects; or

    (3) National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level III certification or equivalent in highway construction or highway material.

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field. (Not required but highly valued.)
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction quality management, preferably in highway

    and infrastructure projects.

    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
    • Familiarity with FHWA regulations and procedures is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
    • Relevant certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Certified Quality

    Auditor (CQA) are a plus.
