Position Description:
The Director of Transportation & Logistics primary role is to ensure that Columbia Grain product moves from origin to our end customer at destination in a quick, safe, and cost-effective way. This role will oversee all rail, truck, barge, container, vessel and parcel transportation, freight trading and carrier contract negotiation, implementation, and process improvement. As the Director of Transportation & Logistics, you work on establishing and strengthen relationships with external partners such as truck, ocean, container, barge, rail, and air providers. Additionally, this role will partner with internal operations stakeholders such as, Accounting, Credit, and Commodity Merchants on supply chain specific decisions. As a Director of Transportation & Logistics you will provide analysis and offer strategic solutions that you will then execute. In this position, you must demonstrate strong leadership, and the ability to support your team, and drive success.
