    Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing and managing Temporary Traffic Control on roadway projects. Insure that all crews and management associates are following corporate safety policies at all times. Duties include managing employees, managing critical path for all road projects, P&L responsibility for bringing projects in under budget. Will also prioritize all project related items and communicate with internal peers and external customers on issues and progress of projects. Responsible for contract production for traffic control and customer contact and relations.

    Essential Functions and Duties:

    • Execute all projects safely.
    • Execute all projects in conformance with the scope of the contract (with QUALITY, to level of the plans and specs in the most cost effective way)
    • Manages the enterprise; projects from start to finish including permits, all plan drawing/design
    • Delivering the project on time, within budget, and optimizing cash
    • Managing Variances to the Time and Cost Plans
    • Managing project risk issues
    • Manage branch operations including equipment needs and all DOT compliance.
    • Involved in the decision making process to hire or terminate employees, or the suggestions and recommendations as to hiring, termination, advancement, promotion, or any other change that affects an employee's status/title.
    • Mentoring other project personnel to help improve skills
    • Equipping the team with the resources it needs to execute the scope of their needs
    • Manage communications (reports, directions, etc.)
    • Direct contact with all customers and provides solutions to solving customers problems.
    • Documenting project status periodically and in final close-out report

    Education, Experience and Skills Required:

    • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
    • 5 years of management experience and/or Traffic Control background.
    • Ability to schedule resources to maximize efficiencies
    • Knowledgeable in branch specific Lines of Business; experience with unions and labor relations, where applicable
    • Understanding of the various equipment utilized within the scope of the operation
    • Experience in planning and resource allocation for both people and equipment.
    • Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, etc. with ability to learn ERP system.
    • Must have excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
    • Industry involvement through trade associations, coalitions with state DOT, or similar is desired.
    • Must have a good driving record and able to pass a background check and drug test.
