Traffic Director jobs in New Hampshire

We are seeking a Traffic Controller to join our team of transportation professionals. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of roadway signage and construction practices, and a strong understanding of the needs of people on the road. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing traffic control plans and directing traffic during construction, accident or emergency incidents. We are looking for someone who is decisive and communicates well with others, with excellent technical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• MUST be Willing and able to travel.
• Work outdoors in all conditions.
• Manage potentially aggressive drivers.
• Monitor heavy traffic and respond to new incidents as they develop.
• Work a full-time, rotating shift schedule.
• Know when and how to delegate work to other officials on the team.
• Have good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Participate in continuing education courses about traffic control procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
