Salary Information
Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and MCCP Board Rules & Regulations
Nature of Work
The fundamental reasonthis position exists is to serve as a key member of the Mayor's team,coordinating logistics to ensure seamless operations for the Mayor's office.
The work responsibilities include coordinating lodging, transportation, andmeal accommodations while providing personal briefings and logistical guidanceto the Mayor and staff, developing strategic plans, maintainingconfidentiality, and exercising sound judgment in decision-making are integralaspects of the role.
Conducting comprehensive research on municipal issues,preparing briefings and presentations, and facilitating interactions withstakeholders and the media further contribute to the effective governance andsupport of the Mayor and the Mayor's Executive Staff in their responsibilities.
This classification reports directly to the City of Montgomery Mayor.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, PoliticalScience, Communications, Business Administration, or related field plus three(3) years of progressive experience supporting senior executives, publicfigures, or government officials demonstrating proficiency in logisticscoordination, confidentiality management, research, and strategic planning.
NOTE : Qualifying education, training, andexperience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills,and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Special Requirements
Must possessexceptional organizational and time management skills, along with excellentwritten and verbal communication abilities, strong interpersonal skills,adaptability, attention to detail, and a willingness to work occasionalevenings or weekends to support the Mayor's office operations.
