    Summary of Position:

    This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, and administering the compensation programs underlying the Company’s Total Rewards foundational pillars. Under minimal oversight, this role ensures that the Company’s compensation programs are optimized to support company objectives such as recruiting, retention and employee engagement. The role interfaces with all levels of internal and external stakeholders and approaches deliverables with an analytical and objective focus. The position is also exposed to large amounts of confidential data and autonomy making confidentiality and the ability to exercise consistent judgement crucial to the success of the role.

     

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    • Designs and communicates pay structures, grades, budgets and over-arching Total Rewards philosophy.
    • Conducts internal compensation reviews for pay equity, market competitiveness and retention/recruiting needs.
    • Develops compensation programs that enable agility and efficiency to meet company objectives.
    • Works with business to proactively develop reports and dashboards to inform business decisions.
    • Develops and maintains compensation-related workflows and data both within and outside of the company’s HRIS system to ensure accurate record-keeping and delivery with regards to one-time payments, salary change events, discretionary program targets etc.
    • Leverages compensation survey data and company philosophy to make informed salary recommendations for new hires and internal movements.
    • Administers the Company’s Long Term Incentive Plan, inclusive of processing grants and vests, maintaining data accuracy within the Company’s administration platform, preparing reporting requests and responding to participants questions.
    • Safeguards the privacy of employee compensation information from improper use and disclosure.
    • Collaborates with HR Operations team to build JDs (inclusive of determining FLSA, EEOC and other worker statuses), price roles, match jobs and develop organizational structure.
    • Partners with the business to understand total rewards impact and areas for development in different parts of the organization.
    • Prepares and delivers annual compensation surveys.
    • Serves as backup for benefit administration purposes.

    Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of compensation philosophy concepts and familiarity with compensation data and surveys.
    • Microsoft Office Suite (strong Excel skills required).
    • Demonstrated ability to think critically.
    • Accurate attention to detail.
    • Basic accounting and math skills.
    • Ability to analyze information and make independent judgment calls.
    • Process driven, self-motivated, and can work independently.
    • Works well in a team environment and can handle a fast-paced atmosphere.
    • Ability to build rapport with individuals at all levels or the organization.
    • Ability to discern and maintain confidentiality as required.
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
    • Ability to demonstrate empathy while balancing consistent and compliant organizational decisions.

    Education & Experience:

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field preferred.
    • 5 years’ experience in Human Resources with dedicated compensation work required. 
    • Advanced proficiency in HRIS system preferred.
    • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow is preferred.
    • Experience with equity compensation and Equity Edge or other stock administration platform is preferred.
    • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Willingness and ability to travel to other company offices on a regular cadence as needed.
    • Work is performed at a CIVI location Tues-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
    • Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.
    • Travel required to the Civitas field locations.
