Maintains positive relationships with foundation stakeholders, including the board of directors, grantees, community leaders, donors, and prospective donors. Additionally, Top Foundation Executive oversees the budget, distribution of foundation funds, and investment strategies to ensure the financial sustainability required to fulfill the foundation's mission. Job Description:
The Communications and Outreach Specialist is a new position with the Weber School District Foundation and the job description will grow and change with time and experience of the candidate. The specialist will support the vision and mission Weber School Foundation through best practices in communication and outreach to community stakeholders, Weber School District employees, businesses and donors. The specialist will work to share Weber School Foundations story by highlighting accomplishments, successes and providing recognition. A new position in the organisation, the Specialist will have the opportunity to build and develop communication and outreach functions for Weber School Foundation. The Specialist will also work with the Executive Director and Development Director to develop outreach strategies for fundraising and marketing activities. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and has regular interaction with the Board of Directors and other community partners and donors.
Essential Job Functions:
Qualifications:
• One year experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field is required
• Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output
• Exceptional written and verbal communications and organisational skills
• Creative and thoughtful on utilisation of new media technologies
• A minimum of one year experience in planning, writing, editing, and production of newsletters, press releases, annual reports, marketing literature, and other print publications and directories
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Familiarity with website navigation and design elements
• Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
• Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a dynamic team
• This position requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
