General Summary
The Accounting Generalist position is responsible for working directly with the CFO on all financial and operational aspects of the business. This position is heavy on data entry and account reconciliations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Primary person on A/R process - Ensures the invoicing of all Sales and Services, Apply Customer payments, work with CFO on Collections.
* Primary person on A/P process - match receivers with PO's, match with vendor bills, enter vendor bills and process weekly vendor payments.
* Manages fixed asset listing
* Works closely with CFO to continuously improve processes to maximize cost and efficiencies (i.e. Shipping, receiving, inventory, etc.)
* Payroll backup
* Other general accounting functions: Manage petty cash, back up for office supplies, etc.
* Prepare job cost price sheets for CFO review.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 5-10 years bookkeeping experience
* Experience in accounting role in manufacturing company of comparable size
* Working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
* Detailed ledger experience - account maintenance and analysis, journal entries
** Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.
ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is generally performed indoors in an office environment but may include some time in the plant. This position is hourly and generally not required to work more than 40 hours per week, but associate must be flexible and willing to if the need arises and is pre-authorized.
