We are looking for an experienced Tool and Die Maker to join our Dynacast team in Lake Forest, CA for a 2nd shift position (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair/Debug/Troubleshoot molds and dies by reading production parts.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to fabricate tooling components.
• Work with tight machining tolerances while maintaining high quality and productivity.
• Responsible for all phases of mold repair, core pin fabrication, and/or fixtures and trim dies.
• Responsible for following all safety procedures /regulations and keeping immediate work area clean.
• Assists in prioritizing repairs to ensure maximum production capabilities.
• Operates standard tool room equipment such as manual lathes, surface grinders, milling machines, etc.
• Other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Certificate of Achievement with an emphasis on Machine Shop Technology, CNC Training Education from a college or technical school.
• 3 years related toolroom and machinery experience. Will also consider a combination of training and experience.
• Experience with precision measuring tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other documents; ability to write and speak effectively with other employees.
• Proficiency with conventional mill, conventional lathe, surface grinder, and drill press.
• CNC machining and EDM knowledge a plus
