Telecommunications Technician maintains an organization's telecommunications network to ensure dependable operation. Monitors network systems and performs diagnostic tests to document and report performance levels. Being a Telecommunications Technician conducts routine checks and preventative maintenance to minimize malfunctions and downtime. Troubleshoots telecommunication issues and performs or coordinates repairs. Additionally, Telecommunications Technician may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Telecommunications Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - Monday - Friday 7:00 AM EST - 4:00 PM EST, with 1 hour lunch break
- Varying amounts of overtime and weekend work may be required, based on job location.
Tower Systems is actively hiring experienced Tower Technicians who will perform all aspects of new construction, dismantles, upgrades, co-locations, inspections, microwave, mapping, civils, and foundations. They will perform maintenance on all types of existing towers from 60’ to 1500’.
Qualifications- Must be of good moral character, dependable, and honest.
- Understands and adheres to best industry standards.
- Proficient use of PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone, printer, camera
- Comprehends construction drawings, assembly drawings, RF data sheets, etc.
- Proficient in general industry knowledge, including rigging, knot tying, and signaling.
- Must exhibit good physical stamina to climb towers with the ability to lift, pull, and push 80 lbs.
- Must be able to crouch, kneel, twist, and climb with both hands.
- Trade certifications are a plus!
- Willingness to travel extensively away from the home market, nationally and internationally.
- Clean driving record.
