The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

The Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Engineer position is responsible for providing engineering and technical integration support to a broad range of SE&I work assignments to ensure group products and services are provided to meet NASA customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

·        Engineering design and development practices.

·        Preparation of basic design documentation.

·        Assist higher level engineers in technical evaluations, engineering calculations, and requirements reviews.

·        Development of basic requirements in support of projects assigned.

·        Receive guidance and mentorship on conventional/basic SE&I engineering tasks.

·        Responsible for end-to-end technical integration of requirements through the product lifecycle with guidance from SE&I Process Leads.

·        Responsible to review, impact, control and document any requirements changes.

·        Lead multifaceted (multidisciplinary) engineering projects and assigns tasks to peers through the project lifecycle as appropriate.

·        Communication at internal and external project meetings

·        Perform other duties as assigned.
