Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rail Rig Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation, commercial driving, and horizontal drilling. They will operate a variety of foundation drilling equipment and support equipment for the purpose of installing caissons, piers, elevator shafts, micropiles, and earth retention systems. Earth retention systems include but are not limited to the installation of cantilever shoring, tie backs, soilnails and shotcrete. Duties:

• Plans, coordinates and prepares equipment and materials for use at the site
• Drives or guides equipment and assembles equipment in position.
• Lubricates machines, replaces parts (as needed), such as worn winch cables
• Performs safe and efficient drilling operations;
• Acts as a flagman and perform traffic control
• Understand and use proper construction hand signals
• Perform rigging of steel beams, rebar cages, casing or similar.
• Perform light welding (safety rail casing, hardfacing, etc.)
• Ensure safety standards and quality codes are met.
• Housekeeping: Including but not limited to cleaning and organizing property and equipment.
• Documentation: Completing and Filing, Job Tickets, Field Forms and other forms, as directed by supervisor.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating drilling equipment in the oil and gas industry or similar commercial driving experience is required
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety procedures related to drilling operations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and other technical documents
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program; OR at least three years of experience via on-the-job training required.
• CDL A, a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week

Experience:

• Oil & gas: 1 year (Preferred)
• Horizontal drilling: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
