Surveillance Operator operates all surveillance computer equipment. Monitors all areas of the property and closely observes a target game, staff member, or customer. Being a Surveillance Operator ensures compliance with applicable gaming regulations. Reports improper activity or disturbances to supervisor or security team for further investigation. Additionally, Surveillance Operator may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surveillance Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required, plus six months to one year experience in surveillance, formal security, or law enforcement training, schooling or certification strongly preferred. Experience in computer science, money-handling, or loss prevention is a plus. Other combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered. Must be able to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, instructions, and correspondence/memos; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or staff, guests and the public. Maintains confidential information. Proficiency in Excel and word required. Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License
Physical demands: Interior work in a darkened room with other surveillance personnel. Must be able to monitor multiple computer screens, operate surveillance software and equipment, which includes computer hardware. Must be able to sit most of the shift. Will use hands to manipulate equipment to move cameras and be able to use computer keyboard year-round.
