Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. 1. Operates surveillance equipment within the Surveillance room and reports any malfunction of the surveillance system.
2. Writes reports in a clear and concise manner noting only information based on fact without interjection of opinion.
3. Documents, observes, records and reports any violations of state regulations, company policies or departmental procedures.
4. May interact with local, state and federal law enforcement in the investigations of criminal activity which occurs on company property.
5. Monitors currency transports in accordance with casino procedures.
6. Completes tasks and department assignments or projects, and meet the deadlines related to those assignments.
7. Evaluates information to render an opinion or act based on the information that will impact the department or function.
8. Works to hasten resolution, assess course of action, and implement, or act based upon findings.
9. Renders advice, and provides expertise or judgment based on information gathered, studied, analyzed or reviewed.
10. Ensures the integrity of gambling, banking, count room and cash handling procedures.
11. Has complete understanding of policies and procedures for all gaming and cash handling areas.
12. Responsible for proper handling of confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials.
13. Informs senior management team of information necessary to the efficient operation of the casino.
14. Attends daily briefings and meetings as instructed.
15. Ensures the smooth operation of the department by following policies and procedures and complying with Internal Control Policies and Procedures.
16. Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction in assigning and instructing facilities team in the details of their work.
17. Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
18. Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
19. Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.

• Attend the required training sessions offered by the Company.
• Obtain and retain required license(s).
• Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
• Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
• Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
• Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.

Position Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required, plus six months to one year experience in surveillance, formal security, or law enforcement training, schooling or certification strongly preferred. Experience in computer science, money-handling, or loss prevention is a plus. Other combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered. Must be able to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, instructions, and correspondence/memos; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or staff, guests and the public. Maintains confidential information. Proficiency in Excel and word required. Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License

Physical demands: Interior work in a darkened room with other surveillance personnel. Must be able to monitor multiple computer screens, operate surveillance software and equipment, which includes computer hardware. Must be able to sit most of the shift. Will use hands to manipulate equipment to move cameras and be able to use computer keyboard year-round.
