Surveillance Operator operates all surveillance computer equipment. Monitors all areas of the property and closely observes a target game, staff member, or customer. Being a Surveillance Operator ensures compliance with applicable gaming regulations. Reports improper activity or disturbances to supervisor or security team for further investigation. Additionally, Surveillance Operator may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surveillance Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. JOB DUTIES:
Act as oversight and security agent for management and customers using audio and video/digital equipment. Observes Casino operation for irregular activities such as cheating or theft by either employees or patrons. Gaming Surveillance Operators patrol and protect property against theft, vandalism, terrorism and illegal activity. Reports illegal and non-procedurally complaint violations of Taos Mountain Casino Policies and Procedures, NIGC, Taos Pueblo Gaming Commissions Regulations, Taos Pueblo Gaming Ordinance and the NM State Gaming Compact.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or (GED) required,Must be knowledgeable of or be willing to learn:Casino gaming regulations and procedures; Identify violations involving casino policies and procedures. Surveillance & security methods including the operation of all surveillance video recording devices. Maintain radio contact with various casino personnel. Computer experience and report writing skills. Have strong written and oral communication skills. Must be willing to work rotating shift schedules. Must obtain a Taos Pueblo Gaming License. Must be 21 years old or older. Valid New Mexico driver’s license, meet and maintain auto insurance requirements. Must be able to pass drug test, physical examination and background check with NO felony convictions.
