What are you going to do? The Supply Chain Manager NutEx has full End-to-End (E2E) Supply Chain responsibility for the NutEx/Phytotechnology scope of products including Customer Services, Planning (S&OE / IBP), Warehousing and Logistics. As such, this role is pivotal in the establishment of the Supply Chain function and On Time in Full SC ramp-up with the Nutreco businesses. This is the top logistic and supply chain position for the NutEx/Phytotechnology organization but is governed by policies and frameworks established by the larger corporation. The SC manager is informed/involved in the later stages of plant/production development and is leading for the entire SC as soon as SC activities start to become repetitive nature, with ramp up as well as further SC optimization. In the initial stages of the NutEx/Phytotechnology organizational evolution the Supply Chain Manager NutEx will not have direct reports, this might change as to how the business and volumes evolve over time. It is therefore anticipated that the Supply Chain Manager is both very operational (e.g. placing PO’s and process CO’s) as well as tactical and strategical in managing the growers and processers while being the first point of contact for Supply Chain matters for Opco’s served by NutEx/Phyto. Your responsibilities • Co-creates, develops and delivers the Supply Chain strategy for the NutEx/Phytotechnology. • Defines, implements and continuously optimizes Route to Market (Supply) strategy in close collaboration with the Plant production and Supply Manager. • Leads the Demand Planning cycles, collaborates actively internally (Sales, Marketing and Formulation) and with customers driving high forecast accuracy and low bias. • Leads the supply planning activities for supplying growers and factories in scope, both Nutreco as well as 3rd party (external) supply (subcontracts/processors). • Manages the internal Nutreco order to cash process. Enhancing customer operations, order intake, customer service, returns and complaint handling. • Manages warehouses (Nutreco and 3rd party) in her/his remit, ensuring safe and healthy environment, enabling On Time in Full delivery to customers. • Closely collaborates with Transportation companies, establishes strong relationships to develop profitable business opportunities. • Execute on a weekly basis the operational Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) process, balancing Opco’s orders against supply and available inventory. Ensuring optimal delivery while exceeding customer expectations from a service perspective. • Lead the monthly IBP cycle for NutEx/Phyto resulting into One Plan, where the NutEx Operational Execution Director is the owner, balancing demand & supply for a minimal 15 months’ horizon. Make sure all involved in the process have a cross functional understanding and knows their role and responsibility (RACI) • Collaborates hand-in-hand with the Plant Supply and Production Manager to ensure a smooth transition from initial production of “one plant” to the ramp-up and (mass)production of the plants. What you bring. • You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in the field of supply chain, operations, technical engineering or similar • >10 years of work experience in a comparable or relevant position including Demand, Supply and planning (IBP) in the animal feed industry or any other industry such as FMCG or pharma. Work experience in an agronomic/Phyto environment is a large plus. • Excellent knowledge and expertise in ERP tools in both in term of functionality and usage. Microsoft Office (in particular of MS Excel) is a requirement and knowledge of Infor M3 is desirable. • Ability to work in both strategic and operational levels. • Excellent track record in managing/leading managers in the Supply Chain • A valuable experience in Customer services, Scheduling, Logistic, Manufacturing or sales is a plus. • Experience with End-to-End supply planning tool is an advantage. • Fair understanding of Manufacturing challenges and manufacturing performance leverage • Able to demonstrate strong numerical capability with a passion for detailed analysis. • An inquisitive approach, able to identify risks and opportunities for appropriate follow up. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, know how to convince and persuade, and always maintain a constructive, trusted relation with your stakeholders. • Good level of English in writing and speaking – German would be advantage. • Willing to travel 25% of the time.
