PLEASE NOTE: this is a BUILDING STRUCTURES design position, NOT Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to BK's award-winning team for client service and team engagement.
• Depending on your experience, you will manage and design building or industrial structure projects both independently and as part of a team.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates.
• Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, building contractors, facility managers and owners on design and construction of projects.
• Mentor and contribute to the development of younger engineers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred) - experience in construction is a plus!
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, TMS, NDS

• Experience with Revit, RAM and/or RISA is a plus!
• PE or SE registration.
• 5 or more years' experience.
• Experience with multiple construction types, including steel, concrete, masonry, mass timber is a big plus!
