The Strategic Sourcing Specialist at Battle Motors plays a pivotal role in sourcing new products and programs, requiring expertise in global supply chain management, negotiation, and problem-solving. This position demands effective leadership to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive positive change, and ensure the successful launch of new products.
Key Responsibilities- Track global trends to anticipate supply chain impacts and facilitate continuous improvements.
- Lead sourcing efforts aligned with program objectives, identifying new suppliers and technologies.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers, optimizing contracts for Battle Motors' benefit.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing clear communication on sourcing decisions.
- Deliver comprehensive reports to executive leadership on costs, budgets, and sourcing activities.
- Partner with the finance team on cost reduction initiatives, ensuring targets are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in commodity management or strategic sourcing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to drive improvement collaboratively and manage multiple tasks effectively.
