Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management leads the coordination between care providers and plan members with the goal of maximizing member benefits while managing costs. Oversees the assessment of medical necessity of procedures and/or admissions, conducts pre-certification or authorization, and ensures compliance with established guidelines. Being a Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management assists members in appeals for denied services. Interprets benefits and guides members to choose to the appropriate providers, projects and resources. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management applies the medical and reimbursement policies within the claim adjudication process. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Nursing. Typically reports to a manager. Requires RN license. To be a Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management typically requires more than 5 years of related experience.     Reporting to the Manager of MedSurg and Inpatient Services, the Medical Surgical Staff RN will work alongside an experienced and tenured team of nurses, providers, and technicians that specialize in providing care for patients in all stages of recovery. You’ll work with CMSRN Bedside Nurses, amazing unit-based Nurse Educators, and Clinical Coordinators to ensure every patient receives the compassionate care they need.

    This multi-specialty Medical Surgical Unit has had an astounding track record of delivering the highest quality. The Staff RN will take direct clinical patient care role in this award winning 16-bed Med/Surg unit, and you’ll get to work with an outstanding staff. Clinical support will be provided by Hospitalists and Providers who are staffed around the clock to offer Medical, Telemetry, Orthopedics, Neurology, and Post-Surgical Care.

    The RN Medical Surgical Staff Nurse will play an important part in the day-to-day clinical and patient operations of this unit. This person will take responsibility for patient assessment and history review, working with the physician and family to develop a clear path of care. Working under unit leadership, and in close collaboration with attending physicians, the Nurse will help formulate a care plan and execute on that plan. This person will get the opportunity to grow their skills through developing efficiency upgrades and operational improvements, and they’ll get to lead projects to execute on those visions.
