Staff Nurse - RN - Oncology provides professional nursing care to assigned oncology patients. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications including chemotherapy, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Oncology assists oncologists during examinations and procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Oncology teaches patients and families about conditions and treatment options. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require ONS/ONCC certification to deliver chemotherapy. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Oncology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Based out of Tampa, FL, we are a small, fast-growing team of Oncology Nurses who assist cancer patients and their caregivers while they attempt to navigate the complex healthcare system.
Work directly with Pensacola clients to help them coordinate their cancer care and navigate the healthcare system. Essential Responsibilities
Education: Graduate from accredited nursing school
Experience: At least 5 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in Oncology. Experience in case management, discharge planning, eligibility or membership, utilization management.
Certifications: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
Licensure: Current Florida RN or NP
Preferred: BSN or MSN, Case Management Certification, utilization review experience
