Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy jobs in Alaska
Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment. Administers intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy determines appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site. Observes patients' IV treatment and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require CRNI certification as an infusion nurse. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Responsibilities:
- • Admitting and assessing patients
• Administering medications and treatments
• Monitoring vital signs and symptoms
• Operating and tracking medical equipment
• Running and ordering tests
• Coordinating care with Physicians and Specialists
• Charting patient progress
Certifications - Required
· AHA BLS - Basic Life Support Certificate
Education - Required
· Graduate of accredited Nursing program
Experience - Required
· 1 - 2 year Acute Care Experience and/or experience congruent with role in service line
Licenses - Required
· Registered Nurse State of Alaska
