Speech and Language Pathologist assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments. Conducts evaluations of an individual's speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist completes required documentation to record assessment and progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Speech and Language Pathologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Summary

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, must be able to sit on the floor to interact with young children for extended periods of time, and must be able to move efficiently and quickly from one position to another.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not supervise staff. They do have the opportunity to work with graduate SLP students and CF supervision if they would like.
Work Environment
This position is held in a clinical setting, in the community (schools/preschools/community).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position; Clinic hours and days are Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The expectation is that full-time clinician would work four evenings (Monday-Thursday) until 5:00 p.m. OR two evenings (of their choice) until 6:30 p.m. Part time shifts available.
