The incumbent is responsible for providing a variety of education / skills / recreational / activity groups on the inpatient units.
Additionally, they are responsible for documenting patient group performance per unit policy, communicating with clinical staff through rounds, and other clinical meetings, and alert staff of emergent clinical issues that occur during the group sessions.
Leads inpatient hospital education / skills / recreational / activity groups and interacts with individuals (one to one) on the unit in a professional manner and within group protocol guidelines as delegated.
Specific duties are assigned by the unit Group Therapy Coordinator and / or Program Director.
May suggest to the Group Therapy Coordinator new activities, keeping in mind the treatment objectives of the program, and the interests / needs of the patient population.
