    What You Will do:

    The Pratt and Whitney Hot Section Module Center is seeking a highly motivated individual to investigate analyze and implement solutions to drive process improvements, quality improvements and cost improvements using Lean/Six Sigma principles. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership interpersonal and team skills, as well as a strong communication skills and ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supports the organization’s employees in variation reduction and process control proficiency by coaching, mentoring and coordinate execution of required training – Six Sigma Green Belts, and Six Sigma Black Belts
    • Work with senior management project champions to support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives (COPQ-SRR, Key Characteristic Milestone Certification, Manufacturing Readiness Level, PPAP, etc.), integrated with other continuous improvement activities and ACE/CORE initiatives and schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure sign off on formal gate reviews. Use scorecards and metrics to ensure progress.
    • Ensure technical quality of variation reduction and process control projects
    • Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance
    • Support the development of standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices
    • Support the development of training material and course instruction for Six Sigma process control
    • Coordinate development and publishing of Success Stories

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
    • Travel up to 30%
    • U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
    • Demonstrated ProCert/Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience.
    • Experience of 7 years in manufacturing environment
    • Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in statistics, and data analytics
    • ACE/CORE/ 6 Sigma Master/expert level certification
    • Familiarity and experience with AS9145 APQP
    • Strong understanding of other continuous improvement skills: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.

    Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

    Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
