Shipping and Receiving Supervisor jobs in Vermont
Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. Responsibilities- Receive inbound parts through dealer business system
- Assist in counting physical inventory & maintain accurate records
- Pick outgoing shipments from inventory
- Pack parts for shipments according to Paccar standards
- Carefully inspect packages & products, reporting any damage
- Handles core returns & shipments
- Inventory control activities such as cycle counting
- Organize warehouse & work area for maximum efficiency, maintaining clear workspace
- Drive company vehicle for occasional pick-ups &/or deliveries
- Perform various tasks & other duties, as assigned
- Work flexible hours and overtime, as needed
- Ability to operate palette jack, palette wrap & forklift is preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting up to 80 lbs. & continuous movement is required
- Valid driver's license, with clean driving record
