Shipping and Receiving Clerk assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Receives, unpacks, inspects and stores incoming materials and supplies. Being a Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Summary/Objective
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for all shipping and receiving activities; ensuring all products are properly packaged, accurately counted, shipped via appropriate method and in a timely manner, and all transactions, data entry, and records are accurate and complete. In addition, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk ensures proper procedures are followed in the receipt of goods.

Work Environment
This job operates in an industrial/manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard shipping and receiving equipment such as tape dispensers, forklifts, hand-trucks, handcarts, knives, snips, packaging straps, etc. as well as office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some of the work will require exposure to loud noises or fumes in the manufacturing environment.
