Purpose: The Shipping and Receiving Handler is responsible to maintain a safe, accurate and timely flow of materials to the de-palletizing area in accordance with production and customer needs.

Essential Duties

• Inspects, unloads and receives incoming shipments in accordance with procedures and work instructions.
• Locates material to the de-palletizing area in accordance with procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain appropriate customer service skills with delivery drivers dropping and picking up shipments.
• Maintains a timely flow of material to the de-palletizing area.
• Must deliver shipments to departments in a customer service friendly manner.
• Operates banding and stretch wrap equipment.
• Must report, in a timely manner, all food safety hazards and con-conformances to their direct supervisor, the supervisor on duty, or a manager on duty.

• Must be familiar with all CW Resources, Inc. Safety Rules and Procedures.
• Must know and follow all safety requirements related to any and all equipment, machines and tools required to perform stated duties.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications and Educational Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: At least one (1) year of experience working in a shipping/receiving position.

Physical and Environmental Demands

• The Shipping and Receiving Handler position can be a physically demanding position. The incumbent will spend the time at work standing, walking and lifting heavy objects.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The Shipping and Receiving Handler may have to lift up to 50lbs and push and or pull up to 70 lbs.
• The work environment can be noisy as the work is taking place in a warehouse.
•  The Shipping and Receiving Handler may be exposed to the outdoors on a frequent basis, regardless of the

• Work with a team that primarily consent of adults with disabilities and disabling conditions.
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Separate truck loads
• Keep track of items received
• Identify damaged merchandise
• Picking and packing orders
• Organizing inventory
• Operating machinery such as forklifts or pallet jacks – (CW will train)
• Ensuring that materials are stored safely and efficiently

Education and Experience Requirements: 

• High school diploma or GED. 
• Minimum of one (1) year of Warehouse experience (Preferred)
