Required:

• Grant and Contract Administrator I:
  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of directly related experience or an equivalent mix of postsecondary education and relevant work experience.
• Grant and Contract Administrator II:
  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of directly related experience or an equivalent mix of postsecondary education and relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the basic lifecycle of a sponsored project and of the ORA proposal responsibilities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office including Word, Access and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members of the University community and sponsor representatives on research administration subjects.
• Proven ability to function effectively as a member of a team in a high-stress office environment.
• Ability to multitask and handle a large and diverse workload, necessitating daily prioritizing of tasks and responsibilities.

Preferred:

• Understanding of relevant policies and procedures for seeking extramural funds in a university setting.
• Familiarity with federal grant submission portals such as grants.gov, research.gov, and eRA Commons.
• Proven ability to function effectively as a member of a team in a high-stressed office environment.
