POSITION OVERVIEW The Security Guard position is to provide property, building and personal security to safeguard the assets of the mountain and to ensure safety to employees, members and guests. This is a seasonal part time position available. This position pays $20.00/hour.
Responsibilities: - Secure premises by patrolling property, inspecting buildings and equipment to ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, members and visitors.
- Monitor Resort property and buildings, and the Community to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of all doors and windows.
- Investigate and report all suspicious activity on Resort property.
- Monitor heating, cooling, alarm and electrical systems where necessary to protect against water leaks, fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry or trespassing.
- Maintains relationships with local law enforcement and notifies them of incidents.
- Prepares daily security report
- Assists with crowd control and parking at large Resort events, when needed.
- Reports any safety or maintenance issues
- Acts as first line of contact and response during off hours for properties at the Resort.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 60lbs. Position requires extended periods of walking on a variety of surfaces, sometimes in limited lighting. Ability to balance, stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, grasp, talk and hear. Visual acuity to perform an activity where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach. Subject to environmental conditions: activities occur both inside and outside in a variety of weather and temperatures.
Special Qualifications: Must be able to pass a background check
Schedule: Depending on the applicant, this position will be either full time or part time, adding to our current security schedule which provides coverage 24/7/365. Position may require additional hours during the summer and winter months, school vacation weeks and some larger Resort events. Applicant will need some flexibility.
