Security Director implements overall security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Director implements staff training and operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Manages and maintains systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Director delivers education programs and communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Participates in local, state, provincial, or federal working or advisory groups to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. Leads and directs significant investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies. Possess a broad knowledge of law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or related discipline. Typically reports to senior management. The Security Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Security Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Your Mission: As the Director of Partnerships, you will spearhead our strategic alliances and partnerships initiatives, initially focusing on Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and Strategic Partnerships. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and serving as a key member of the leadership team, you will be instrumental in driving business growth through collaborative partnerships, joint ventures, and channel relationships. You will be responsible to build this business function from the ground up.

    Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Partnership Development
      • Identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships with technology companies, cybersecurity vendors, VARs, and other key industry players to expand Sprocket Security's market reach and offerings.
      • You will be responsible for developing our Partnership program and function from the ground up.
      • Develop a comprehensive partnerships strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on driving revenue growth and market penetration.
      • Lead the end-to-end partnerships lifecycle, from prospecting and negotiation to contract execution and ongoing relationship management.


    • Channel Expansion and Management
      • Expand Sprocket Security's channel presence by recruiting and nurturing VARs and reseller partners, ensuring alignment with our product and market positioning.
      • Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to enable channel partners, provide necessary training and resources, and drive joint go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
      • Hire, onboard, train, manage and retain future team members. This role will be IC to start, but will have direct leadership responsibilities as we grow.
      • Cultivate and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with strategic partners and VARs, serving as the primary point of contact for partnership-related activities.


    • Alliance Marketing and Enablement
      • Work cross-functionally with marketing and product teams to develop co-marketing programs, campaigns, and collateral that support partner initiatives and drive mutual success.
      • Provide partners with the necessary tools, training, and support to effectively promote and sell Sprocket Security's solutions in their respective markets.


    • Partner Performance Ownership
      • Direct investment strategy into the partner program, and assess effectiveness of investments.
      • Work collaboratively with our Director of Marketing in relation to partner marketing programs and associated investment.
      • Track and measure partner performance, assess program effectiveness, iterate, and optimize partnership strategies for continuous growth.
    Qualifications:

    Minimum:

    • In-depth experience in partnership management, business development, or channel sales within the Cybersecurity industry.
    • Strong understanding of technology alliances, VARs, and partner ecosystems within Cybersecurity.
    • Established relationships amongst regional VAR's that specialize in Cybersecurity.
    • Revenue focused mindset with partners, driving growth for both Sprocket Security and our partners.
    • Previous experience building a partner program from a Greenfield / early-stage state.
    • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing partnership strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to optimize partnership performance.
    • Bachelor's degree; preferred in Business, Marketing, Cyber Security, or related field.

    Preferred:

    • Experience working in Offensive Security.
    • Prior experience in a start-up or fast-paced environment.
