Security Director implements overall security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Director implements staff training and operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Manages and maintains systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Director delivers education programs and communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Participates in local, state, provincial, or federal working or advisory groups to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. JOB SUMMARY:
Phi Sigma Rho Sorority is seeking to place a full-time house director at Purdue University by August 1, 2024. The house director will be provided with a private bathroom, bedroom, and living room. The house director will also be provided with a private parking space. The facility sleeps 64 members. The house director provides direct oversight of facility cleaning and maintenance services and works with a kitchen management company to coordinate food services for the chapter house. The primary duty of the House Director is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the physical premises of the chapter house. The House Director is expected to utilize appropriate levels of independent judgment and discretion in the execution of her job duties while maintaining communication with the Corporation Board. The House Director must have strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. The House Director will also help to ensure the safety and welfare of the sorority's collegiate live-in and live-out members. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented approach. The ability to quickly identify problems and develop and timely implement solutions is also expected. The House Director is required to reside in the chapter house while members are present.
