Our Jersey City office is seeking a candidate to join our Risk and Credit Group.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Review and approve client risk communications and calculations
• Build, monitor, and distribute risk reports and calculations
• Forecast and monitor market trends and the effects on client portfolios
• Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate risk by using statistical software such as Python, SQL and R
• Analyze prospective client portfolios and determine their buying power and risk levels
• Review and monitor client trading activity real time through risk management systems
• Perform market and credit risk surveillance by monitoring hedge funds, institutions and propriety trading firms
• Build, monitor and distribute risk reports and calculations
• Issue margin calls and liquidate portfolios if needed
• Perform other duties as required and assigned

• Bachelor's Degree from accredited University required, preferably in Business or Finance
• 3 years of risk or related broker dealer experience
• FINRA Series 3 and/or 7 preferred
• Ability to think analytically and identify potential risk
• Strong numeracy and strategy skills
• Stays current on compliance and regulatory practices
• Self-starter, able to work independently to resolve problems and implement new initiatives in support of team goals
• Highly proficient in MS Office, Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• SQL, Python and R proficiency
• Ability to work on simultaneous projects and adhere to strict deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and Risk Metrics
