SUMMARY
The school nurse provides medical care and services to students according to physician prescribed medical care and treatment orders and addresses medical emergencies. Treats students for medical issues and coordinates day-to-day routine health assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Current professional Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, licensed by the State of Florida supplemented by two (2) years previous experience as a nurse. CPR and First Aide certifications must be obtained within one (1) month of employment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach, grasp, feel, hear, and see up close and from afar. Must be able to use basic office computer hardware and peripherals, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form.
