Sales Promotion Manager manages, develops, and implements sales promotion policies, programs, and initiatives to support the marketing and branding strategy of the organization. Researches, evaluates, and recommends tactics that enhance the market positioning of the organization's products or services. Being a Sales Promotion Manager creates and conveys brand messages to improve brand awareness and perception. Identifies promotional merchandise suppliers and negotiates pricing and delivery schedules. Additionally, Sales Promotion Manager coordinates distribution of materials with internal teams. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior manager. The Sales Promotion Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sales Promotion Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a College Event Planner & Promotion Manager. This role is instrumental in planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events while also spearheading promotional efforts to maximize attendance and engagement.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
    Must be able to be reached at other than normal work times. Must be willing to work after hours and weekends for events.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    Ability to plan, organize, and execute events of varying scales. Attention to detail to ensure all elements of the event, such as venue, catering, audiovisual equipment, permits, and security, are properly arranged. Flexibility and adaptability to handle unexpected changes or challenges during events. Creativity in designing promotional materials and campaigns that resonate with the college community. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders, external vendors, sponsors, and attendees. Ability to think creatively and innovatively to design unique and engaging events that resonate with the college community, students, employees and alumni. Quick decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure to address any emergencies or unforeseen issues during events.

    • Develop detailed event timelines, budgets, and production schedules, ensuring all resources are allocated efficiently and deadlines are met.
    • Liaise with campus facilities management, security, and other relevant departments to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and support services for events.
    • Provide guidance and support to event organizers, volunteers, and student leaders to ensure successful event execution and adherence to university policies and procedures.
