Establishes and implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Director oversees goal setting for departmental and group levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Create a robust onboarding and training program for new hires, complemented by ongoing professional development opportunities for existing salespeople.
Establish a dedicated inside sales and business development team for internal lead nurturing and sales follow-up.
Conduct a thorough analysis of customer mix, profitability, and current pricing to formulate effective regional sales engagement strategies.
Craft compelling sales presentations that educate and empower customers throughout their decision-making journey. Rebuild the sales book and curate a content portal containing relevant sales materials.
Collaborate with local leadership teams to recruit, hire, train, and coach new sales team members.
Oversee sales team performance and partner with local leadership to ensure accountability to established standards.
Cultivate strong relationships across departments to foster a collaborative work environment.
Manage and expand existing retail partnership programs (e.g., big-box store lead generation and professional programs) to maximize sales opportunities.
