  • Primary Purpose Of The Role

    The Sales Analyst position reports to the National Account Manager for the Club Channel. This position has been developed for the purpose of supporting the Club National Account Manager for Sam’s Club and BJ’s in all aspects of their day to day sales responsibilities. Primary objective is to facilitate the smooth execution of all programs sold into assigned customers and to manage all aspects of ordering, replenishment, and forecasting for all BJ’s locations. This position is a critical part of a team that manages sales, new item introductions, everyday broker management, marketing, merchandising at store level and is key for successful growth and profitability.

    Essential Job Duties

    • Act as the lead information coordinator between the National Account Manager and all other functional departments including Marketing, Procurement, Production Planning, Manufacturing, Distribution, Customer Service and Quality Control.
    • Review and confirm accuracy for all new item set ups internally and in assigned customer systems.
    • Retrieve and analyze POS data and distribute weekly sales reports.
    • Participate in weekly CORE calls and review weekly CORE report to ensure all program details are accurate for assigned customers.
    • Participate in weekly Club calls with Sales, Marketing and Procurement.
    • Develop recommendations for Sam’s newly committed programs to present to the buying team. Create order breakouts and truck orders once final program distribution is determined.
    • Manage Sam’s item set up with Nielsen and GDSN publishing for data synchronization.
    • Manage BJ’s customer inventory at each retail location for everyday and seasonal products, which requires a minimum of daily ordering using web based VMI systems, while adhering to compliance with customer’s requirements for fill rates, inventory timing, and sales rates.
    • Manage returns on guaranteed product.
    • Develop accurate forecasts for everyday and seasonal products by customer location.
    • Learn and manage the JDA and Retail Link systems.
    • Communicate new product information to buyers/brokers.

    Requirements

    • Must be able to work independently as well with others in all departments within the company.
    • The person should be able to adapt to changing daily job functions and have the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively while working under the stressful conditions of meeting deadlines.
    • Individual needs to be committed, detail oriented, flexible and possess strong organization, verbal and written communication and computer skills.
    • Experience working with ERP systems, comfortable with entire MS office suite products. Proficiency in Excel and managing large amounts of data is a must.
    • Knowledge of production and purchasing systems; experience working together with manufacturing, procurement and sales teams.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to analyze and interpret data from spreadsheets.
    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and 3 years minimum experience in replenishment, customer service, or sales support roles
