Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the safety and loss prevention program for a company's construction department. Ensures that each project site conforms to all applicable safety regulations. Being a Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction is responsible for assigning safety inspectors to sites and ensuring that follow-ups are conducted when necessary. Provides solutions when sites are found to be in violation of safety standards. Additionally, Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. We are seeking a Construction Manager for our NYC market Responsibilities Directs activities of workers associated with implementing construction projects. Evaluates specifications to plan procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction. Assembles members of organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, cost control, and other workers) at start of project. Directs personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays. May oversee supervisory personnel and labor representatives to resolve complaints and grievances within work force. Manages supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods. Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules. 4-year degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management required, 10 years of construction project experience required.
