Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the safety and loss prevention program for a company's construction department. We seek an experienced Operations Manager to Manage Field Operations for maximum profitability, primarily as it relates to margin while maintaining safety standards and 100% customer satisfaction.

    $70,000 to $100,000 annual compensation.
    Position-specific performance bonus program.

    Operations/Production Manager Job Duties:
    • Oversee all aspects of field production - including the Project Manager (Field Supervisor), the 3 Team Leads, and carpenters.
    • Coordinate the scheduling of 80 jobs per year, ensuring the right team with the right team skill sets are working on any one job, including employees and subcontractors.
    • Create a material list and order siding/decking materials and Windows/Doors for all projects. Sometimes this involves working with the client to get material selection finalized (colors/styles/design).
    • Onsite measuring of new windows and doors to obtain quotes and place orders from suppliers.
    • Review new contracts and update the job board for scheduling.
    • Meet with clients at the start of the job and ongoing as needed.
    • Coordinate start date with client, dumpster/biffy, and have Office Manager pull permits.
    • Progress bill clients, write change orders, and work with the Salesman to ensure customers receive accurate and timely progress billing.
    • Hire, train, and mentor employees.
    • Perform annual reviews and meet with employees throughout the year in one-on-ones and team meetings.
    • Ensure employees are working within safety standards.
    • Attend weekly Level 10 EOS (Traction) meetings and quarterly safety meetings.
    • Direct the Office Manager on any billing needs and general office tasks.
    • Deposit checks/payments received.
    • Coordinate tasks for the Project Manager (Field Supervisor) and Handyman.
    • Approve all subcontractor, material, and tool purchases along with any repairs on company trucks, trailers, equipment.
    • Sell jobs on a limited basis as needed (typically smaller jobs).
    • Assist Salesman as requested - providing technical assistance.
    • Continuous problem-solving and process improvement and helping others do the same.
    • Keep track of Stucco/stone/paint/stain samples for each job and ensure samples to the supplier.
    • Oversee and approve weekly payroll.
    • Create and publish employee schedules, approving or denying PTO requests accordingly.
    • Help on job sites with projects and tasks as needed.

    Requirements:
    • Physically capable of completing field work - lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Computer savvy.
    • Knowledge of carpentry and general contracting.
    • Positive attitude and willing to do what it takes to get the jobs done.
    • Process-minded - organized - efficient with tasks.
