The Clinical Risk Manager is tasked with providing a wide array of risk management and loss control services to clients of the Professional Liability Insurance Program and the Workers' Compensation Program, aiming to mitigate risks associated with professional & general liability and workers' compensation. Responsibilities encompass on-site auditing, assessments, and training sessions for clients, alongside assisting in analyzing and validating event data and presenting technical reports based on anticipated and actual requests both internally and externally.

The Clinical Risk Manager remains continuously educated about industry trends and best practices and creates education curricula, coordinates programs and workshops, and acts as faculty. Additionally, existing educational materials and Antum Risk’s ability to provide CNEs and CEUs will be managed exclusively by the Clinical Risk Manager.

The Clinical Risk Manager engages in written and verbal communication with Liability Program members, addressing data and research requests, analyzing case data, developing, and presenting technical reports and marketing materials. The Clinical Risk Manager will also assist in the completion of the underwriting and risk management activities.

The Clinical Risk Manager is responsible for the development and provision of physician practice risk assessments consulting (PPRA). Duties include assistance in marketing the PPRA service line, the development and maintenance of the PPRA assessment tool, data reports, benchmarking data sets, and the PPRA toolkit.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: SC RN license in good standing with the SC Board of Nursing, Bachelor of Science in nursing with clinical experience in health or safety-related field. Work experience with education or professional designations preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years of experience in clinical healthcare, occupational health, safety, or risk management. Strong communication and writing skills are required. Computer skills are required.

LICENSE: Registered Nurse

DESIGNATION: Designation as a Certified Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) is preferred, but not required.

SKILLS: Able to use computer applications. Able to use office equipment.

PHYSICAL: Must be able to work at a computer during most of a business day. Must have reliable transportation.

This position requires the individual to travel on Company Business more than 25% of the time.
