• Bachelor’s degree or min. 5 years of equivalent experience in ROW industry.
• Experience with right of way acquisition process, relocation, Uniform Relocation Act.
• Must be proficient with MS Word and Excel
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must have effective interpersonal skills
• Requires an ACTIVE current State of Arizona Real Estate License
• Experience with Maricopa County, ADOT or Municipal
Work activities/responsibilities:
A. Depending on project assignment, duties may include a combination of the following activities:
1. Acquire property rights as required by various projects; property rights may include, but are not limited to, rights of entry, temporary or perpetual easements, and fee title.
2. Read and interpret property appraisals, title reports, plans and legal descriptions.
3. Meet with property owners or their representatives to negotiate and acquire their holdings; Prepare and/or consummate purchase agreements, deeds, easements, extended occupancy agreements.
4. Open and close escrow on successful acquisitions; contact persons who are to be relocated because of state or municipal acquisition of their property or their place of residence; offer assistance to them in finding new housing; maintain current files on available properties for sale or rent; search for similar properties that might suit relocated persons’ needs. Travel may be necessary to close escrow.
5. Calculate monetary entitlements for replacement housing; inform the displaced person(s) in writing of the calculated entitlements and of the specific comparable replacement property used in the calculation of replacement housing benefits.
6. Assist displaced person(s) in securing replacement housing.
7. Issue appropriate notices; perform decent, safe, and sanitary inspections of replacement housing; administer business relocation services; maintain by parcel current and detailed contract reports.
8. Perform miscellaneous services including regulatory research, relocation surveys and real estate functions and any other ancillary services as may be required.
