JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES:
The Returns Clerk is responsible for coordinating and supervising the daily activities of the Returns Department. Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Return Clerk is responsible for the completion and supervision of all return functions, all labeling, packaging and personnel. Ensuring facility goals are achieved on a daily basis.
Design, implement and conduct quality control training programs, develop inspection procedures and criteria, improve and promote quality standards for returns personnel. Adherence to all returns policies for commercial accounts and consumer returns.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Supervise and coordinate the unloading of return products, verify required documents, i.e. BOL’s, and packlists as needed. Log all returns in the return log maintained on the S drive. Process all credits for consumer and commercial returns within 2 days of physical receipt of products. If a RMA for commercial return has not yet been created then an UNDOC must be sent to ISRs or appropriate person within 2 days. Once the RMA is received then credit must be issued within 2 days. All open UNDOCs must be followed up on a weekly basis until the RMA is received. Work closely with Warehouse Manager to ensure RMAs are received within 3 weeks of receiving product. Ensure all credited product is dispositioned appropriately and either destroyed according to policy or returned to the shelf daily.
- Oversee all packaging and labeling as required. Ensure this area has all necessary packaging. Completed items are to be promptly returned to the Inbound area for completion of processing. -
