Summary/Objective

The Closeout Assistant manages the flow of returns that come back from Amazon and customers. On a daily basis, they will unpack pallets of returns from Amazon, match the tracking number to the corresponding shipment from Amazon, cross-reference the list of items with what is in the box, and determine the quality of the item. Each individual item that comes in through Closeout needs to be examined to ensure proper placement and pricing. This also includes creating listings with content that accurately depicts each item and following up on any customer service needs that arise from closeout items sold. This position is also in charge of handling warranties with the different vendors and assisting walk-in customers as needed.

• Examine & Test all returned products
• Create listings & photograph items for sale on Ebay
• Manage Defective Product Returns for warranty to vendors
• Maintain accurate defect sheet
• Ensure pricing allows us to move inventory as quickly as possible while still maintaining a profit
• Successful cross-functional support to the following departments:
• • Truck staff for product question & deliveries concerning warranties
  • Customer service staff for investigating the quality and condition of returned items

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment, with some outdoor exposure during the work day. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as box cutters and tape dispensers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.

• One (1) year of selling on Ebay
• One (1) in customer service
