Retail Tire Service Manager manages the service staff to effectively meet customer requirements and minimize tire service related expenses. Assigns jobs within the service center and dispatches road and fleet service according to customer requests or established requirements. Being a Retail Tire Service Manager makes recommendations for hiring, firing and disciplining of service techs. Trains service technicians and conducts new hire orientation; schedules other training as required. Additionally, Retail Tire Service Manager ensures that company policies are being followed with regard to safety, DOT and established operating procedures. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a store manager. The Retail Tire Service Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Retail Tire Service Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Our service hours are Monday – Friday, 8am-5:30pm, Saturday 8am-2pm, Sunday closed. We are in Oregon and Washington. Our locations include Salem (OR), Portland (OR), Eugene (OR), Longview (WA), and Auburn (WA).
Are you a good fit?
We are looking for driven, enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals with experience in automotive, mechanical, repair, tire, and service industries. Ideally, you will have at least one year of experience in or automotive/repair/service industry. We provide complete training and certifications for our team.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, to assess and best support customer’s needs, and partner with other team members as needed.
Requirements: A valid, unrestricted driver’s license, ability to lift 90-lbs, strong physical dexterity, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, ability to operate hand, power, and air compression/hydraulic tools, successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Physical Requirements and Working Environment: Employees are regularly required to lift 90-lbs, stand, walk, use of both hands, arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as required. Employees are regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, vibrations, working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles, possible exposure risk to electrical shock, elevated noise and sounds within the working environment.
